We recently stayed for two nights at this charming hotel to celebrate a special occasion, and it exceeded our expectations! The cozy, well-decorated room featured an impressive bed and a massive TV. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. Each evening, we enjoyed delicious meals from the a la carte menu, and the breakfast spread was good.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

Perfect for a family weekend escape
We had a cozy little spot next to the window for lunch, the kids were entertained with board games while we enjoyed the food, excellent, I mean that pork belly, sheer perfection! Our dog was treated like royalty with a blanket and treats waiting in the room.
Yeah, this place wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was worth it.

What a lovely little getaway! The location is perfect for exploring the nearby attractions, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. My room was spotlessly clean and recently refurbished, complete with comfy beds and good bath products. I also enjoyed a tasty lunch; the beef sandwich was definitely a winner!
I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast pricing—it felt steep and the portion sizes were on the small side. the room we booked seemed smaller than some of my friends' rooms, even though we paid a premium. Just a heads up to book wisely!

Food in the bar was amazing as were the bar staff! Room v nice and location excellent, a little souless being part of a golf club and the reception staff not the most enthusiastic, but food and staff there made up for it! Very good value for money.
We were the youngest by a long way! (early thirties)

The location of this hotel is pretty awesome, being just a short drive from the M27, which makes it super easy to explore the area. I appreciated the friendly staff who were always ready to help and made the check-in process a breeze. The breakfast? A solid highlight with plenty of refills of fresh coffee!
Now, here’s the kicker: my room had some serious cleanliness issues—think cobwebs and stained floors. Plus, the mattress was sagging quite a bit, making for an uncomfortable sleep. it felt like the place could use a good deep clean and some TLC. Definitely not what I expected.

The good location. Very near motorway yet within driving distance of forest and coast. Enjoyed good menu in restaurant in the evening which meant we didn't have to drive anywhere and staff very polite and helpful. We shall come again.
Disappointed the shower was in bath and not seperate.

Good parking available. The superior room had a king-sized bed, a comfortable sofa, and a dressing table. Nice touch with the complimentary champagne on arrival.
Location is not exactly in the heart of things, felt distant from Lyndhurst with only one pub nearby across the road. The bathroom seemed dated, with vinyl flooring and some patchy paintwork. The openable window situation limited airflow on hot nights. The hotel sits alongside a busy road, so a quieter room might be necessary for those sensitive to noise.

Easy access; friendly staff; cleanliness of room; cosy bar/restaurant
Quality of breakfast - would have liked better selection of cold items; early check-out time (1030) and being called in the room at 1040 to ask me to settle the bill; they have started to accept dogs (although I believe they will be restricted to ground floor rooms)

Restaurant food was excellent. Afternoon tea sandwiches a llittle dissappointing. Clean and confortable if a little sterile.
A little institutional in is decor.
